In light of global health issues, local concerns, and our civic responsibility, Thornbury Jazzworks is cancelling upcoming concerts until further notice.  We hope to reschedule when the situation allows, and will post information as it becomes available.  Check back on our web-site and Facebook page, and with local media, for updates.   Our subscribers will continue to receive email notices.

JAZZ AT THE LIBRARY—LATIN RHYTHMS FOR SPRING

Spicy, syncopated rhythms will heat up the night when the Bill McBirnie Quartet presents “Extreme Latin Flute” on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 7:30 in the Gallery of the L.E. Shore Memorial Library.

Appearing with Bill will be Andy Harasymczuk on guitar, Jack McFadden on bass and Ethan Ardelli on drums.

JAZZ AT THE MARSH – ‘S WONDERFUL!

“G is for GERSHWIN” RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 6

The forecast looks promising, so Dean Hollin, with piano accompanist, Steve Thomas, will present “G is for Gershwin” at the Marsh Street Centre at 7:30 on Friday, March 6.

$25.00 tickets are still available at Thornbury Pharmasave, Gabriele Photography in Collingwood, or the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg.  If necessary, refunds can be obtained at Thornbury Pharmasave or Gabriele Photography.

Dean Hollin presents the newest installment in his exploration of the Great American Songbook.  “G is for Gershwin” is a two-hour bio-pic style concert, highlighting some of the greatest songs created by the team of brothers George and Ira.  Accompanied by Dean’s long-time collaborator, Steve Thomas, on the piano the program includes classics like “Love is Here to Stay”, “Nice Work if You Can Get It”, “They Can’t Take That Away from Me”, I Got Plenty of Nothin’”, “Embraceable You”, “’SWonderful”, to name just a few!

Spread some Christmas Cheer!

Friday, December 6 at the Marsh Street Centre

7:00 Social, 7:30 Concert

Who’s Who this Christmas?  Pat LaBarbera on saxophone, Steve McDade on trumpet, Russ Little on trombone, Andy Harasymczuk on guitar, Dave Young on bass, Allan Halford on drums, and special guest Dean Hollin—that’s who!  As well as fabulous music, the evening will feature a silent auction to raise money in support of Beaver Valley Outreach.  Concert proceeds will also support the BVO.  Help the BVO make the season joyous for all members of our community.

Tickets are $30.00 and are available at Pharmasave or the BVO Office in Thornbury, the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg, or Gabriele Photography in Collingwood.
