Dear Fellow Jazz Fans –
TJW is planning to offer a (somewhat restricted) JAZZ AT THE LIBRARY Concert Series for Fall 2021. The first concert is planned for Friday September 24, 2021.
The current Covid19 Ontario Regulations and Grey Bruce Health Unit recommendations provide for only 19 seats plus the band in the Gallery room. Obviously that would make a Concert under the circumstances unfeasible.
However, TJW is proposing, after consultation with the musicians, two performances on the same day, one at 5:30pm and one at 8:00pm. Due to the reduced capacity and higher production cists, the ticket price will have to be $30.
Protocols to be followed: Library staff is placing the seats according to social distancing rules, but people in a household bubble may sit together (counting as 1 seat), assigned seating, hand sanitizing at entry and exit, social distancing, masks required in public indoor spaces, no relocating or moving from assigned seats during performance, no intermission, and no food or beverages will be available.
If you wish to attend the first JATL Fall 2021 concert under these conditions, (subject to protocol changes) on September 24, 2021, featuring the RUSS LITTLE TRIO, please send and e-mail to email@example.com before August 25, 2021.
RUSS LITTLE is no stranger to JATL, having appeared here in 2018. Russ has an illustrious career as jazz trombonist, composer and arrange, being a former member of the Woody Herman and Count Basie Orchestras and a co-founder of the famous Lighthouse Band and anything in between and beyond.
We are busy lining up more musicians for more of the wonderful concerts you have enjoyed in the past.
News of these will follow soon.
PLEASE NOTE: Include the following information in your e-mail:
1. Reservation 1 – for 1 assigned seat – $30
2. Reservation 2 – people sitting together on 2 assigned seats – $60
3. Time of performance – 5:30pm or 8:00pm
4. Last and First name
6. Phone number
7. 2 Covid19 vaccinations: YES or NO
8. Will do electronic transfer of payment: YES or NO
Please get back to us ASAP so we can see if it is likely we can get this first concert up and running. We cannot do it without you.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Library once again, for some GREAT JAZZ! THORNBURY JAZZWORKS
