JAZZ AT THE LIBRARY Series starts Friday August 23, 2019
THORNBURY JAZZWORKS is pleased to announce the exciting Fall 2019 Concert series, starting with Lorne Lofsky (guitar), Kieran Overs (bass) and Barry Romberg (drums), remembering Ed Bickert, Canada’s most renowned Jazz Guitarist on August 23, 2019. Alison Young (tenor sax, vocals) and William Soerandei (trumpet) are The New Wave on the Canadian jazz scene and will be joined by Andy Harasymczuk (guitar), Jack McFadden (bass) and Allan Halford (drums) on September 20. Concert pianist Robert Horvath and Drew Juracka (violin), both equally accomplished in classical as well as jazz will perform music From Bach To Bepob on October 18, 2019.
The next Concert will be held at the Marsh Street Centre on Friday November 15 with Mary-Catherine Pazzano and her Quintet featuring the music of Leonard Bernstein, with melodies from Westside Story to On The Waterfront.
The Christmas Jazz Concert will be held on Friday December 6, 2019.
